Lily Allen whines some more and quits music

A week after she ‘started’ a debate about illegal file-sharing and started her own campaign and set up her own blog…she’s decided to quit music. That’s what you when you want to take a stand – shout your mouth off in a blog post and then step back from the ‘debate’ altogether but safe in the knowledge you grabbed yourself some newspaper space! Allen today said:
Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record. I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade. The days of me making money from recording music have been and gone as far as I’m concerned, so I don’t (at this point) stand to profit from legislation [from the government regarding file-sharing]. Except future purchases of previously recorded material (which won’t be much).
And that brings this chapter of the file-sharing debate to a close.
