Apple battle to avoid Eminem lawsuit

Lawyers for Apple and Eminem are currently embroiled in last-minute talks as the iPod manufacturer tries to avoid a court date with the Detroit rapper. The crime that is allegedly being brought against Apple is that they wrongly made as much $2.5 million for unauthorised sales of Eminem’s songs, and there are 93 songs in total that were reportedly not meant to be available as digital downloads. If a deal is not reached by the end of today, the case will move to a federal court in Michigan in a non-jury trial that will start the following day. The lawsuit was originally filed in 2005 by Eminem’s publishing company, Eight Mile Style.

Have to accept that the posting relating to Eminem or should I say Marshall Bruce Mathers III caught my attention as I have not been here previously. As his dad abandoned his home when he was a child the internet age has been opportunity for large earnings and mass media coverage which he has understood well, avoiding the ruination with too much coverage and pressure received by other celebrities. Recently I’ve become a top fan and can not get too much gossip or comments about Eminem’s activities. Enjoyed his releases Slim Shady, Encore, Relapse although the messages sometimes are distressing. Dark overtones and not making for a cheerful planet.
