Green Day – 21 Guns
It’s safe to say that I wasn’t really a fan of 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day, with the main reason that I didn’t like being that it was way, way too overlong. They can’t even seem to do right with their single choices as the quite bland 21 Guns has been chosen as the next pick – possibly so that they could recreate the biblical success of the last album’s power ballad, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. The video, as such, is very expensive looking and annoyingly schmaltzy. My theory is that high budget videos don’t do the band justice but low budget videos would be better. Next time, just shoot the band playing Viva La Gloria! in one live take with one basic camera angle all the way through. It might me like them a lot more right now.
