Where did that come from? New Sigur Rós album
In a year where a lot of the band members of Sigur Rós were doing solo projects (Jonsi is involving himself with his partner for an instrumental album under the Riceboy Sleeps monikor whilst he will also release a separate solo album), they still have time to write another album. The successor to Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust, my album of 2008, is nearing completion in the recording stage and on a message posted on the band’s official website the record is said to be a lot more ambient than the last one and Takk… from 2005. Drummer Orri described the music as “melodic but much less noisy and more ‘out there’ than previous albums.”
