The Crying Light is still one of my favourite albums this year and is still as beautiful in the long days of summer as it was in the cold, dark days of winter. Antony Hegarthy was on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross last week to perform one of the best cuts from it, Kiss My Name. There are a lot of reflective and quiet moments on The Crying Light but there are songs like this that pack an awesome counter-punch. What’s more, it fully emphasises how brilliant his backing band, the Johnsons, are as they reproduce this shuffling tune. Take a few minutes out of your day and enjoy this.
