Chris Cornell – Part Of Me

Back last November I reviewed Chinese Democracy by Guns ‘n’ Roses and, like everyone else, kicked it to the curb. I also wondered at the same time whether or not music this decade could get any worse. However, and rather unfortunately, there is and it is courtesy of Chris Cornell. His new song, Part Of Me, is produced by super-producer Timbaland and is a sudden departure for him as he goes for a music style that is tacky ringtone hip-hop circa 2004-2005. It’s so bad even famous musicians are expressing their dismay and embarassment on Twitter, and no other song has ever done that in the history of the internet/Web 2.0! It is as terrible as everyone says it is and the video is just beyond words to describe it. Can popular music get any lower before the decade is over in nine months time?
