Oxegen, Download and Liverpool Soundcity updates

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced a return to the festival circuit and will be playing the Irish festival in July. Also added to the bill are Pete Doherty, Razorlight, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Elbow, The Ting Tings, White Lies, Fight Like Apes, Pendulum and Jason Mraz. Many of these artists will also be set to play T In The Park on the same weekend (10th-12th July).
Tickets went onsale today and two more bands were officially added to the bill – Limp Bizkit, confirming previously denied rumours of a reunion, and Trivium. They join Slipknot, The Prodigy and Dragonforce among others. Download takes place from the 12-14th June and will set you back £135 for a weekend ticket.
This new festival is in its second year and the organisers have now announced the first wave of bands, including White Lies, Animal Collective, Little Boots, Cage The Elephant, Deerhunter, Mongrel, Mumford and Sons and The Hot Melts. All of the above will be playing in venues all over the city and will take place from the 20th-23rd May.
