Odds & Ends for 5th February 2009

The initial line up for Camp Bestival, which was the Best New Festival at last year’s UK Festival Awards, has been announced. Dorset’s Lulworth Castle will play host to PJ Harvey, Bon Iver, Mercury Rev, O’Death, Marina & The Diamonds and Wild Beasts from the 24th July to the 26th July.
Blur have been confirmed for two festivals this summer. The recently reformed Britpop band will play Oxegen in Ireland and T In The Park in Scotland in addition to their own headlining shows at Hyde Park this summer. This refuels the rumours that they are now going to be headlining Glastonbury in June.
Finally, Franz Ferdinand have confirmed themselves to be playing Glastonbury. The band have updated their tour dates listings on MySpace and it has put them down to play on Saturday. Initially, they were thought to be one of the headliners but now it looks like Bruce Springsteen will headline Saturday.
