There is plenty of excitement regarding the new Franz Ferdinand album. So much excitement, infact, that I’ll be seeing them in Edinburgh next month for their first UK gig of the year. It’ll be the first chance for me to experience some of the new songs before the album comes out (old school, none of this leaking business!). The NME have released a live version of the new songs recently. What She Came For isn’t too dissimilar to lead single Ulysses. It showcases the new synth direction the Scots are taking and the new groove-laden rhythms that will probably be in abundance on the album.
