Radiohead to score Choke…or maybe not

Thom Yorke - not choking

Yesterday we were told that Radiohead would be scoring the new Chuck Palahniuk (author of Fight Club) film Choke with an exit song and a batch of ambient music throughout the film. With a release date of sometime in the Autumn, we were thinking a follow up to the sounds of In Rainbows would arrive a lot sooner than first thought. Clark Gregg, the film’s director, had told BBC 6music that he had invited members of the band to contribute music after he found out that Palahniuk had listened to Pablo Honey whilst writing Choke. Palahniuk then said:

Apparently Radiohead liked the move so much, they’ve written the score, the most of the ambient music throughout it. So it’s ‘Choke – with the music of Radiohead.

Well that’s not the case anymore.
