Beck vs Howling Bells
I have a pretty difficult decision to make. 02 Wireless have now unveiled the stages and which bands slot where. I’m pretty lucky in that I don’t have any major clashes except for one humdinger of a battle between artists who, despite having seen before, or definitely good enough to see again. Do I go to see Beck or Howling Bells ?
Let’s discuss why either act should get my attention:
Beck (seen once at Hammersmith Apollo)
His new song sounds amazing
He always is incredibly fun live
He can play on a dining table
He can use stage puppets
Howling Bells (seen supporting Placebo at Wembley Arena, Camden KOKO and Guilfest
One of the best Australian imports for a long while
They’re incredibly dreamy live
Perfect band for a summer evening
Juanita Stein is quite the good looking singer.
The verdict? Still no winner. I probably won’t end up deciding until the day itself.
